The Plantation is a chalet bungalow set in 5 acres of beautiful gardens/pastureland with viesa of the cathedral. Situated in a quiet rural setting it offers peace and tranquility to the traveller yet it is only 2 kilometres from the city - a 35 minute walk. We offer 2 en suite rooms on the first floor, both tastefully furnished, which can be adapted to double, twin or family arrangements.

Each room is equipped with colour TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facility.

There is a large breakfast room with views of the cathedral and garden. We serve traditional English or continental breakfast and a selection of our popular home made jams.


The lounge and patio are available to our guests who are welcome to explore the beautiful and extensive garden where the keen gardener is usually on hand to tell you about the development of the various beds.





There is ample off road parking space.

Parking is available for several cars within the grounds. Cycles can be garaged securely overnight.
