My name is Gavin Ludkin and I’m here to provide a service to gain the most out of your land. I Have worked with the land all my life growing up on a farm. Since leaving school I have worked for a agricultral contractor, and attending Easton College. I then worked as a service engineer attending Writtle College.

In 1999 I set up G.J.L. Contracting, with a view to carry out agricultural contracting.But in such a competitive market I was unable to compete. However I did find myself carrying out a lot of equestrian work. This prompted heavy investment in bespoke machinery. I chose very carefully the machinery to operate, so I could be efficient reliable and carry out a high standard of work.

Many horse owners are not releasing the full potential of their land. This is where I can help; I will always recommend an initial consultation to meet you and assess your land to see what needs to be done. Some things are very easy and cheap to do but can make a huge amount of difference.

I have worked in all types of situations from a pouched bare paddock to four-foot high grass. In both situations I can get your paddock back to how it should be, stable and with enough feed all year round. Good grass will prevent weeds establishing themselves, and it can minimise damage in the winter when it is wet, why go to the extra costs of supplementing food, with hay etc in times when you should rely on your land.

If you are in any doubt I have land of my own which is evidence of what can be done when you when you manage the land correctly. I also have an established customer base, all of which will be more than happy to tell you what I have done for them.
