Lost in Lace:New approaches by UK and international artists
Featuring large scale, theatrical and visually spectacular work, this exhibition challenges perceptions of what lace can be, involving the visitor in an environment where spaces become fluid and thread creates entirely new boundaries. Gas Hall. Admission free.
OXFORD GUILD OF WEAVERS, SPINNERS & DYERS
We are always happy to welcome new members, whether you’ve been spinning and weaving for years or it suddenly takes your fancy to learn. We all so love working with fibres and textiles, and thoroughly enjoy sharing our interest – and learning something new!
We meet monthly on the 3rd Saturday of the month, except in August, in the Village Hall, Stanton St John, Oxfordshire where parking is easy and visitors are most welcome. Meetings are normally for a full day 10.00 – 4.00pm (bring a packed lunch), with either a half-day talk, occasionally a full day workshop, or a day spinning (or whatever textile project you have on the go), and chatting and sharing knowledge.
