Located off the beaten track this is the perfect spot for a peaceful and relaxing break.
The farm is situated 6 miles to the north of Chichester in the hamlet of Chilgrove, which nestles in a picturesque valley beneath the South Downs and within an area of outstanding natural beauty. The local area is a haven for wildlife. Buzzards, barn owls and roe and fallow deer are frequently seen on the farm and the Downs are rich with wild flowers and butterflies.
There are several footpaths and bridleways on the doorstep, each providing wonderful walks and off road cycle rides into beautiful downland countryside. Walk from the doorstep up through beech woods and forest glades to the The South Downs Way, a national trail which stretches along the chalk escarpment and ridges of the South Downs and offers stunning views. The Monarchs Way also passes close to the farm:
Chilgrove is also conveniently positioned for visiting the historic city of Chichester, Goodwood racecourse, the Goodwood motor racing circuit, and the many other local attractions and events which take place locally throughout the year. See our "Places to visit" page for more information.
